Our processes at a glance – Part 2: Injection moulding

Injection moulding, on the other hand, uses plastic. Our process begins with drying the plastic granulate to ensure that it is free of moisture. Similar to zinc die-casting, the plastic granulate is melted here and injected into the mould. After the plastic part is removed, the sprue is removed and shredded. Some of the shredded sprue can be reused and melted down, which contributes to recyclability.
